Binscombe is in the Ancient ParishAn Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions.of Godalming and the modern Church of England ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or the Roman Catholic Church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Farncombe. There is also a disused Quaker Burial Ground in Binscombe, There were also a Baptist Chapel, a Gospel Hall, and a Wesleyan Chapel in Farncombe.

WSFHS CD15 (Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI) has baptismal records for
WSFHS CD30 (Ancient Parishes in the Guildford district) has baptismal records for Godalming St Peter and St Paul for 1582 to 1840, marriages from 1583 to 1837 and burials for 1583 to 1840.
