Our Lady of the Assumption was a daughter church to St Edmunds Godalming and was demolished ca. 1985. There is a Roman Catholic church in Milford.
Originally the Roman Catholic parishes of Haslemere(until 1924) and Bramley (until 1955) were also part of St Edmund's ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or the Roman Catholic Church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England. There was a RC chapel in Elstead from around 1935; about 1953 the community moved to the former British Legion Hall and in 1968 the chapel of Our Lady of the Assumption was opened. It closed in 1985 and the site was sold ca 1992.
