There are just over 450 names in the Surrey MI Index for the
Ancient ParishAn Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions. of Chiddingfold St Mary. They were copied in 1980 and 1982 by Cliff and Diana Webb. A large number of the older stones in the Churchyard were completely illegible and were ignored. Many of those partially readable were incomplete.

It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Grayswood All Saints parish in 1901 WSFHS CD33 (Ancient Parishes in the Hambledon district) has baptismal records for Chiddingfold St. Mary from 1573-75 and from 1595-1840; Marriages from 1563-1837; and Burials from 1563-1840.
