WSFHS CD15 (Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI) has Baptismal records for Chobham St Lawrence for 1587, and from 1770 to 1840. WSFHS CD26 (Parish Register Transcripts and Indexes in the Chertsey District) has records for Chobham St Lawrence: baptisms 1587 to 1588, 1654 to 1840; marriages for 1587, and from 1655 to 1837; burials 1587 to 1588 and 1654 to 1840. During their survey of Surrey cemeteries some years ago the Friends of the Surrey Cemeteries included both the Victorian Cemetery and Chobham Cemetery in their notes for Chobham Friends of Surrey Cemeteries (Surrey Cemeteries: a survey, 2012): Text from the survey is reproduced with permission. Set back on western side of High Street with the New & Old areas either side of footpath. Chobham & West End Joint Burial Committee. “Victorian Cemetery” now closed. Circa 1-2 acres. No buildings. New cemetery circa 1-2 acres opened 1960s no buildings. Lawn cemetery rules. The Victorian Cemetery and St. Lawrence's church are both in the (civil) parishA civil parish is the lowest tier of local government in England. In urban areas it may be called a town council.
