St. Peter's is the original Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which had both ecclesiastical and civil functions church for Woking; the area is now known as Old Woking.


The monumental inscriptions for St Peter’s churchyard were collected by Cliff & Dianne Webb in 1976. There are 423 names listed in the Surry Monumental Inscriptions Index, including war graves, they date from the late 1700s to the 1950s.

The inscriptions from the detached graveyard have not been collected.

It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England , Woking St John (1884), Woking Christ Church (1893), Woking St. Mary of Bethany (1923), Woking St. Paul (1959)
