Seale was originally a ChapelryA Chapel of Ease within an Anglican Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Farnham . It became a separate ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England in 1866 and was renamed Seale and Tongham in 1963.

The Society holds around 900 names for Seale in the Surrey MI Index. The inscriptions were noted originally in 1977 and updated in 1984 They date from the 17th to 20th Centuries. There are also over 1,000 names in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index from Farnham St Andrew

Seale is village in the (Civil) Parisha Civil Parish is the bottom most tier of local government in England Sometimes called Town Councils in urban areas
